Eyelid Tape Basics
Eyelid tape is either single or double sided. Double sided tape tends to be less noticeable than single sided tape, but it is generally a bit more expensive. If you want to create a permanent eyelid crease, single sided tape, after continued use, tends to create a more permanent double eyelid.Eyelid tapes come packaged in many ways. Some of them come in a roll, while others are pre-cut to fit the shape of your upper lids. Regardless of the kind of tape you get, you will probably have to do a little bit of trimming to make sure that you get the best fit possible.

These are your go-to product if you’re seeking to shape, redesign, and lift your eyelids. They instantly give you a more youthful, awake, and refreshed appearance.
Each pack contains 120 transparent, thin, and non-porous strips made with medical grade, hypoallergenic, and latex-free materials, so you don’t have to worry about any potential allergic reactions. You have the option of either size small or medium to ensure optimal fit.
Only one side of the tape is sticky, so you’re still able to apply makeup. The adhesive is incredible; you can work out, shower, or otherwise work up a sweat without worrying that the strip will fall off. The strip is only slightly noticeable when you close your eyes, but it can’t be seen when your eyes are open.
Application is super simple: just peel the strip from the backing with the included tweezers and apply the strip under your natural crease. Using the flat end of the tweezer, press the tape into your eyelid. Press down on the edges using your finger for a few seconds, and viola! You’re good to go. Do be aware, though, that it might take a couple of tries until you’re able to find the spot on your eyelid on which the tape fits most comfortably. We absolutely loved these!

Invisible and lightweight, these are the perfect solution for monolids or droopy eyelids. They are available in four different sizes: small, medium, large, and X-Large. Individuals with round eyes and a slightly drooping eyelid/monolid would prefer small whereas medium works best for round and oval-shaped eyes that have a defined hooded eyelid.
Large is best suited for large oval-shaped eyes with a slight to defined eyelid. X-Large works best for those with long and thin almond-shaped eyes with a slight to defined monolid, droopy eyelid, or hooded eyelid. You can apply the invisible fiber lace strip onto your eyelid either before or after applying makeup; the strip is invisible either way you use it and is easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover or wipe.
Unlike many other eyelid tapes, Beauty Logic’s Eyelid Lift strips do not come pre-glued. You must apply glue (included in package but you can also use eyelash glue) onto the included applicator pad and then dip the tape into the glue. This is a little annoying as it can be a bit messy. Also, the bottle of glue that is included is super small, so you will likely run out of glue before running out of strips. Nevertheless, the fact that the strips create such a beautiful upper lid crease more than makes up for it.

Application takes a little practice and some getting used to, but you’re going to love you took the time after you see the incredible results you will get from using these strips. These eyelid tapes are super easy to remove; just use some oil-based makeup remover.Unfortunately, EasyLift strips are a little more visible than some of the other brands, so that is a bummer. They are opaque and not clear and mildly visible whenever you raise your eyebrows or close your eyes.

This product is offered in various styles, but the Wonder Eyelid Tape in mild is a rockstar solution to monolids and droopy lids. The tape is super thin, so it remains invisible even when your eyes are closed. D.U.P. offers four styles to cater to your specific needs, but the mild version is super comfortable to wear.
It is soft and flexible to the touch. Both sides of the tape contain adhesive to ensure a tight hold all day long. The packaging and instructions are in Japanese, but you can access English instructions here. And with continued use, the crease can become permanent.

This product is boss! The tape is double sided and made using medical grade materials. You can sleep, shower, and even swim using these bad boys and not have to worry about the tape coming off.
In fact, one strip can last up to three days! Just make sure to wipe your eyelids before applying if you are prone to oily skin; application might be a little more difficult if your skin is super oily.
An application prong/fork is included, though it is a little too sharp and pointy to comfortably use.

If you have heavy eyelids that create the appearance of a single eyelid, this is a great product for you! Each package includes 120 pairs of clear plastic strips which are precut to fit the average eyelid. These strips are lightweight, invisible, long lasting, and glare free. Thoroughly clean your eyelids before application as oils on the eyelid may make the tape a little less effective. Nevertheless, the adhesive is very strong, so you don’t have to worry about the tape coming off during the day. In spite of the glue being very adhesive and effective, it is still gentle enough that it can easily be removed at the end of the day using an oil-based makeup remover. This product is great if you’re looking to create a natural-looking eyelid crease. If you’re looking for an extreme double eyelid look, though, this may not be the product for you. For the price, you can’t go wrong!

Many people prefer the comfort of fabric eyelid tapes as opposed to plastic eyelid tapes. If so, you may want to consider CCbeauty’s fiber eyelid tape.
It is waterproof and not affected by sweat or makeup. It is not transparent like many other eyelid tapes—it is a beige skin tone color—but it is thin enough that it cannot be seen while your eye is open.
If you have a darker complexion, you do run the risk of the tape being seen when your eyes are closed or if you raise your eyebrows. One roll includes 300 pairs, so you won’t need to reorder anytime soon.

Okay, so this is not eyelid tape—it’s eyelid glue—but it is absolutely amazing, so I had to include it in this list. Koji’s Eye Talk is one of the best products out there. It is made in Japan, and the instructions are in Japanese, but application is pretty straightforward, so it’s not that big of a deal. This glue goes on white but dries clear. It is sweat and water resistant and stays on even after a long hot shower. The package comes with an Y-applicator to help with proper glue application. Honestly, guys, this may be the best eyelid glue on the market. It does not irritate your skin and can be easily removed from your eyelids, fingers, or wherever you may get it, using soap and warm water. Getting accustomed to the application process, how much glue to use, etc. does take a little while, but once you do, daily application takes less than a minute.
Proper Eyelid Tape Application
Many companies that sell eyelid tape say that you can apply their product after applying makeup. However, for optimal results, it is best to apply the tape before you apply makeup.
Step 1- Make sure that your eyes are clean and makeup free. If you apply the strips after you’ve applied makeup, the strips might pick up dust and oil and have a harder time sticking to your actual skin.
Step 2- Get a piece of eyelid tape, and trim it down to size. The tape should be slightly shorter than the length of your eye.
Step 3- After locating your eye’s natural crease, place the tape on the upper portion of your eyelid. The straight half of the strip should sit on top of your eyelid’s natural crease; the rounded portion should be facing the top of your eyelid.
Step 4- Press down gently on both ends of the tape for about 10 seconds. Open your eyes and blink, and make any necessary adjustments.
Step 5- Get out there and kick ass!
Tips and Tricks for More Youthful Looking Eyes
In our busy world, rest is often elusive, and nothing attests to that more than our eyes. Fortunately, by following these tips and suggestions, vibrant and more youthful eyes will be within reach, even if a much-needed nap is not.
- Get rid of raccoon eyes.
Nothing screams “I never get enough sleep” louder than a pair of dark circles around your eyes. Fortunately, using a yellow-based concealer about two shades lighter than your skin tone can help reduce their appearance. Simply dab a line of concealer along your lower lash line and into the innermost corner of your eyes and the hollows of your nose. Gently blend using a brush or finger. As a preventative measure, use a great Korean under eye cream before going to bed.
- Make your lashes pop.
Pull your eyelash curler from the bottom of your makeup bag, and use it! Instead of holding the curler steady, give three firm pumps to create a more natural-looking curl. To create an even more pronounced curl, heat your curler with the blow dryer for 15 seconds.
- Fill in your eyebrows.
This is pretty much self-explanatory. Using brow powder, brown eyeliner, or even an almost dry mascara brush, fill in your eyebrows. This will give your face a natural lift, creating a more youthful appearance.
- Reduce eye puffiness.
Hey, lady! Don’t be stingy with the caffeine! Eyes love it too. But before you go splashing caramel macchiato on your eyes—we’re talking about tea! Tea bags are the perfect solution for reducing puffiness and undereye swelling. They work by forcing out some of that pooled up liquid that accumulates under your eyes. They also help reduce dark circles by shrinking the blood vessels under your eyes. Soak tea bags in hot water for a minute and then dunk them into ice water for 15 seconds. Lie down and apply them directly to your eyes for 10 minutes. Your eyes will thank you for it.
- Vitamin K!
Whether you decide on an oral supplement or undereye cream containing vitamin K, a recent study, found that vitamin K and retinol helped decrease dark circles by 33%.

Before having my double eyelid surgery I was obsessed with Fiber Tape. However, after I recover from the procedure I realized that I am not going to use that again and it was such a relief. The cost of blepharoplasty in Singapore is not as big as you think so Asian people can easily afford it.
Eyelid tape is definitely the best alternative if you don’t want to get eyelid surgery. I myself have had eyelid surgery also, I much prefer the surgery over applying the eyelid tape every single day!
