I am a forever fan of the Hard Rock properties, ever since we toured with them at the Hard Rock Macau and Hard Rock Penang back when Nylon Pink was a band. This was my first time staying at the Hard Rock San Diego property. It's definitely a party location, located right in the heart of the gas lamp district.
The day that I checked in there was also a CRSSD Festival day party taking place with DJs. I checked in around 1PM on a Sunday and there was no line. I was registered as a VIP guest which includes access to a private room behind the counter where guests can enjoy complimentary cocktails.
There are several restaurants/bars on site including: Nobu, Float, 207, and Maryjanes, and plenty of restaurants in walking distance also.
I was super in love with these light up stairs. I was too self conscious to set up my tripod and shoot myself on them though, since the lobby was fairly busy.
Hard Rock Suite
I stayed in the standard Hard Rock Suite which was super spacious and luxurious, especially for one person! The living room is separated from the bedroom. When checking in, you'll be asked what music you prefer, so that it'll be set to be playing already when you enter.

Yay for the rainforest showerhead
Room Service
The Hard Rock San Diego had a very solid breakfast menu. I loved that the hash browns were patty shaped and there was quite a generous portion of sausages included. The fresh squeezed orange juice was super delicious!
Yummy breakfast burrito.
Strawberry topped chocolate waffles.
Pool
The Hard Rock San Diego hosts a number of super popular pool party events. Private cabanas are available for rent.

Parking at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego
The Hard Rock Parking is Valet only. It's $18 for 2 hours or $49 for all day parking. I opted to park across the street at the parking lot next door, which charged about $12 a day.
