When I’m in Los Angeles, I love going near K-Town and eating KBBQ with family and friends. I love to focus on tasting the most delicious, authentic, and flavor that each destination has to offer. While Korean food traditionally has ingredients that have animal products, when I’m with my veggie loving friends and vegans, it can be hard to find an accommodating restaurant. Well, today, I’d love to share with you guys the best local vegan Korean dishes in Los Angeles! LA is one of the most diverse cities that offer a bit of something for everyone, including veggie friendly plates.
Within this list, I’ll be talking about various veggie options that you can find here, from small appetizers to filling meals! Most of these restaurants will take credit cards, so you can be rest assured when going out to eat! These local spots are the real deal, so bring some friends and family and get some tasty vegan meals!
Best 7 Korean Vegan Restaurants in Los Angeles
1. Beverly Soon Tofu Restaurant
This restaurant is in the heart of Koreatown, and has delicious flavors! They are open every day from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, so you won’t have to worry about missing out on breakfast, lunch, or dinner! They have barley tea served in metal bowls, which is a staple throughout East Asian regions!
One dish that you can eat here is the Vegan Sundo Boo, where you can adjust the spiciness level from plain, mild, medium, and spicy. Another dish here is Soon Tofu – Vegetable which features onions, mushrooms, zucchini, and radish. Lastly, they also offer a Tofu Steak, which is lightly pan fried tofu over seasoned kimchi and a soy sauce vinaigrette. It doesn’t include rice, but you can easily order a side at any time!
Of course, for those that love a drink with their meal, their selection includes soju, beer, sake, sansachun(korean wine with sansa fruit), bokbunja (raspberry wine), sungruju (pomegranate wine), makgeolli (rice wine), icing (grapefruit rice wine), and soda! Do note that this restaurant is on the smaller side if you are considering coming with a large party. Overall, this restaurant is a reasonable price and has valet parking! Give the tofu soup a try, and you’ll fall in love!

What’s amazing about this place is that you will get your kimbap fix here while getting all your vegetarian and vegan options! For those that have never tried kimbap — its rice and vegetables wrapped in seaweed. Perfect for any occasion, since they’re popular street food back in Korea.
The menu has special rolls that can be made vegan for anybody, so here are some of my favorite meals! Glass Noodle Over Rice – it has glass noodles, carrot, onion, and black mushroom (ask to remove beef or substitute it). There is also the Spicy Cold Noodle W Vegetables, where you have your choice of Noodle, and chopped vegetables, all you need to do is ask to remove the egg.
Of course, this is a must try: The Kimbap. It has avocado, pickled radish, carrot, soybean, and wheat starch. Lastly, you can order Sesame Leak and Udon broth which can be made vegetarian/vegan according to the menu! They are open every day from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Kimbap is so delicious, so how could anyone resist? Give it a try when you’re at the Koreatown, Wilshire Center next time!

If you want an entire vegan meal, this is the place for you! It is a cash only food stand that is tasty and brings the people over! Dave, the owner, ferments all his food in homemade vegetable broth.
A must try dish is Tempha, which is made with brown rice, beans, and fermented for 9 months. Wow! They also sell Kimchi by the bottle, so you can take it home when making your own vegan dishes, such as kimchi stew or kimchi fried rice! They also sell spicy cucumber, gochujang sauce that has no chemicals, preservatives and sugar, and seaweed salad!
Lastly, you can buy your own veggie broth from him, which people say is a great pick me up for sick days and cold days. It is one of the most flavorful Korean foods and it’s all vegan! This is definitely something you have to try at least once in LA!

Every time I come into this restaurant, there are so many friendly people here! They have a Vegan Noodle Bowl here, which comes with green spirulina rice. They give you a reusable green bag which promotes sustainability!
The people here are truly kind, and you’ll be able to have a good time bringing friends, family, or a significant other here. They are open from Monday- Saturday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM! Definitely worth a try if you love a friendly environment with tasty food!

This place is amazing to get your Korean food fix! When coming in, keep in mind that there is a rush hour around lunch time, so earlier or later is better! Vegan dishes here include the Sanche Bibimbab, which is vegetables served with steamed rice and a spicy sauce. Delicious and flavorful!
Next, there is the Deanjang Chigae, which features a soybean paste stew with tofu cubes, all served inside one hot pot. Personally, I like it in the wintertime on a cold day, but don’t let that stop you from going all year round!
They also have sliced tofu that is stir fried, and more options for Bibimbab! Indulge with some beer, sake, whiskey, and soju! Lunch specials take place Monday – Friday from 11AM to 3PM. They are also open Monday through Sunday from 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM!

Open from Monday – Saturday 8:00AM to 10:00 PM, don’t let the name fool you! They have some tasty foods here that you definitely need to try out! Some of their appetizers include Sondubu, organic hot tofu, or the Tofu Salad!
Also, Helathy Zone has a wide variety of foods you can try, including Dongji Patjuk, which is a red bean and rice porridge, or Patjuk, which is just a red bean porridge.
There is also Bibimbap, where you can request it to be made without egg! Some of their drinks include fresh fruit juice (strawberry, kiwi, and pineapple), coke and sprite, as well as your traditional beer, soju, bokbunja, seng makuli, and baekseju!

Yum! Yum! Yum! Is how I want to describe this restaurant. They are open from Monday to Saturday, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM, with Saturday being 11:00AM – 7:00 PM. If you’re looking for affordable and tasty vegan options, look no further, as this restaurant has it all!
I like to eat their Mayak Kimbop, which are 6 mini rolls loaded with carrots, radish, and tofu skin. Amazing! Next, they have Gogobop Kimbop, where you can request it without egg. It has radish, gobo, cucuments, and carrot. They are made with steamed rice and wrapped in dried seaweed. Better yet, the Veggie Kimbop is great because it also comes with avocado, along with your usual carrots, radish, burdock root, and cucumbers.
What’s so great about this restaurant is that you can make and create your own bowls to customize your experience. For rice bowls and salads, there is a tofu bowl that features grilled tofu in a soy-based marinade with 5 toppings. You can also order Hotteok, which is a pastry pancake filled with brown sugar. My mouth waters just thinking about all these foods!
Lastly, don’t be afraid to try their Veggie Ramen, Kimchi Fried Rice (if it’s not seafood based, and remove the spam and egg), and Tofu Burrito! With so many vegan options, you can’t order just one, or you’ll just have to visit again. Trust us, I keep coming back!
