A LITTLE SOLMATE SOCKS HISTORY
The mastermind behind Solmate Socks, Marianne Wakerlin, founded the company in 2000. Initially, these socks were hand-knitted as gifts for friends and family for 20 years. However, she saw an opportunity to create a business, so she found a small, family-owned knitting mill in North Carolina.
At the end of 2014, Marianne retired. Her business lives on through the second generation, Lisa and Randy. this fun socks have proud roots in Vermont where it started but is currently headquartered in Portland, Oregon.
