Getting through customs at the Delhi airport for our layover and getting scammed by porters upon arriving Bangalore also known as Bengaluru, the Welcomhotel was truly an oasis and a sight for sore eyes. It was truly like entering paradise after a long walk through the desert. The instant that we stepped inside, we were treated like royalty.
We landed at the about 10pm on Sunday night at the Kempegowda International Airport and were surprised that there was heavy traffic on the way to the hotel. It took about a hour from the airport to the hotel.
The Welcomhotel was our arrival hotel and the same hotel that we staying in after returning from our trip on the Golden Chariot luxury train.
Upon entering we received a delicious welcome drink and were given a gorgeous Indian scarf.
The hotel is modern and welcoming. Check-in was efficient and it was obvious that the extremely helpful and welcoming employees were proud of working at the hotel.

Welcom Hotel Bangalore Bed
I was absolutely tickled that the hotel went to the trouble to print the photos of all the bloggers on the trip and leave it for us on the desktop
We all got customized pillow to take home from the trip as souvenirs also!

WelcomHotel Bangalore - Buffet
The hotel and my room were fantastic but the real star of the stay was the buffet. We came down to grab a late dinner before bed and were starving. The chef on site was so passionate about his food and took us around the buffet to tell us all about his favorite dishes.
BTW, after returning from India, I never want to eat Los Angeles Indian food again, it just does not compare at all.
Delicious, made to order Dosas. There were different hot items made to order at every meal!
Below is the best naan bread that I have ever eaten, look at all that garlic! As you sit down for your buffet, freshly baked naan bread is brought out from the kitchen.
I tried dosas for the first time and there is a chef on site making fresh dosa to order.
A variety of hot foods changes daily and also features some continental and Chinese dishes. What I found interesting is that some kind of pasta dish is offered at every buffet that we ate at in India.
This was amazing! The puff pastry topped chicken biyrani.
What a lovely touch, mint infused water was waiting for every guest at their table.
