Proof that where on our list a perfume falls has nothing to do with its quality is #7. We love the smell of Attar de Roses from Keiko Mecheri. Its top note is rose and we love the smell of rose. Most Oriental floral perfumes lead with a floral bouquet but rose is the centerpiece for this scent.

It blends three different distinctive smelling roses – Anciennes, Taif, and Shiraz. We also love the way that Keiko Mecheri blends the roses with the sturdy scent of woods and leather – that’s original! There’s even a little bit of amber and jasmine.

Last but not least, our final Oriental floral perfume will be 130 years old next year. Made back in the late 1880s, Jicky from Guerlain has staying power unlike any other so it has to be good! It actually was a pioneer in synthetic perfume materials.

Very fragrant, Jicky mixes citrus fruits with flowers and spices. You’ll notice hints of lemon, mandarin, and bergamot on top of lavender, vanilla, amber, and musk.

Evidence of how old this perfume is; the bottle is shaped like an old timey medicine bottle from back in the 1800s, down to the cork stopper. Women have been in love with Jicky for more than a century and you will be too!

One of our very favorite Oriental perfumes is Al Qasayad Female from Asgharali Perfumes. It actually has a story to it. Makers of this perfume describe it as a tribute to its Mesopotamian roots. The 80ml bottle’s neck is emblazoned with the emblem of the ancient Arabian city of Dilmun to give it that authentic flair and comes packaged real fancy in a leather case.

As far as the scent itself goes, this Oriental floral’s main fragrant overtones are a combination of woods mixed with amber – the resin of prehistoric conifer trees. It’s backed up by a lingering scent of Oud and Oriental flowers.

Clearly a perfume that’s been around for almost 50 years has to be good. Chock one up on the board for Ysatis Perfume by Givenchy for women. Ladies have been loving Ysatis eau de toilette since 1984 and the masses still dig it.
